Parad Swastik 3x3 Yantra (पारद स्वस्तिक 3x3 यंत्र) is a sacred 3x3 inch Parad Yantra cast in the form of the Swastik, the oldest auspicious mark in the Vedic tradition and the sign drawn at the threshold before every puja, wedding and griha pravesh. Parad, solidified mercury prepared through the samskaras of Rasa Shastra, is treated in the Rasarnava as the most sacred of metals for household worship. According to the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra and Vastu tradition, the Swastik installed at the entrance is held to invite auspiciousness into the house, guard the threshold from nazar and negative energy, correct Vastu defects at the main door and in the north-east, steady the atmosphere of a quarrelsome home, support new beginnings, and keep the family's fortune from turning.
