मत्स्य 3x3 यंत्र
Matsya 3x3 Yantra (मत्स्य 3x3 यंत्र) is a sacred 3x3 inch copper Yantra of Bhagwan Matsya, the first avatar of Lord Vishnu, who carried Manu and the Vedas safely through the pralaya and is invoked as the protector of knowledge and of those crossing dangerous waters. The 3x3 inch plate carries the Matsya bija grid within the lotus and bhupura enclosure, sized for a permanent seat in the family temple. According to the Matsya Purana and the Vaishnava remedial tradition, worship of this Yantra is held to protect during travel by sea, river and air, guard the family through upheaval and displacement, preserve learning, records and inherited knowledge, steady a household through job loss or relocation, protect livelihood dependent on water and rain, and carry a person through a difficult transition without loss of dharma. It is particularly beneficial for merchant navy and shipping personnel, fishermen and those working on rivers and coasts, families migrating to a new city or country, farmers dependent on monsoon and irrigation, scholars preserving a line of learning, and anyone in a phase of major life upheaval. Place the Yantra in the east or north-east of the home temple on a clean yellow cloth on a Thursday morning or on Matsya Jayanti. Energise it by offering tulsi leaves, yellow flowers, water from a holy river and a ghee lamp, and chanting the mantra 108 times. Mantra: Om Namo Bhagavate Matsyaya Namah.
