How to install and use

Wash the Yantra in clean water and then in raw milk, rinse it, and dry it with a fresh red cloth.

Place a red cloth on a chowki in the north of your shop, office or puja room and set the Yantra facing east.

Light a ghee lamp on both sides, apply a kumkum tilak, and offer durva grass for Ganapati and lotus or red flowers for Lakshmi.

Offer kheer, batasha or laddu as naivedya, and place your account book or cash box before the Yantra on Diwali.

Chant Om Gam Ganapataye Namah 108 times first, then Om Shreem Hreem Kleem Mahalakshmyai Namah 108 times, in that order.

Repeat every Friday, and keep the plate free of loose coins and receipts. Wipe it with a dry cloth, or lemon and salt if it darkens badly.
Frequently asked questions
Vedic practice invokes Ganapati first in every ritual because he clears obstruction, and only then is the main devata approached. On this Yantra the same order applies, so the Gam mantra is chanted before the Shreem mantra. Reversing the order is considered incorrect in traditional puja.
