Gomati Chakra (गोमती चक्र) are the rare, naturally formed spiral disc-shaped fossils of the Gomati river (a tributary of the Ganga in Gujarat) that resemble miniature conch shells or the Sudarshana Chakra of Lord Vishnu. According to the shastras, these discs are formed over millions of years by the sacred waters of the Gomati river and carry the combined purifying vibration of the Ganga, Vishnu's Sudarshana Chakra, and the cosmic spin of creation. They are widely used in worship as stand-ins for conch shells, in Lakshmi and Vishnu puja, in yantra installations, and as protective amulets kept in the cash box, locker, or puja altar.
