Dhumavati 3x3 Yantra (धूमावती 3x3 यंत्र) is a sacred 3x3 inch copper Yantra of Maa Dhumavati, the seventh of the ten Mahavidyas and the goddess of dissolution, smoke, renunciation and the removal of what has outlived its purpose. The 3x3 inch plate carries her full bija grid and the surrounding triangle geometry, sized for a dedicated sadhana altar rather than casual display. According to the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra tradition and the Mahavidya Tantras, her upasana is undertaken to remove Alakshmi and chronic misfortune, break long cycles of loss and stagnation, dissolve hostility and unseen obstruction, cut attachment to what is already finished, steady the mind during Ketu and Saturn periods, and turn a run of setbacks towards detachment and clarity. It is particularly suited to initiated sadhakas and serious practitioners, those in a long Ketu or Shani Mahadasha, people facing repeated unexplained reversals, those recovering from bereavement or separation, astrologers and healers who work with heavy karmic cases, and renunciates on a path of vairagya. Place the Yantra in the south direction of a separate sadhana room on a clean grey or smoke-coloured cloth on a Saturday evening. Energise it by offering black sesame, urad, dhoop smoke and a sesame-oil lamp, and chanting the mantra 108 times. Mantra: Om Dhoom Dhoom Dhoomavati Swaha.
