shri krishna birth story
Shri Krishna was born to kill Kansa, son of Ugrasen king of Mathura. According to mythology, in the Dwapar era, Kansa, son of King Ugrasen of Mathura, removed him from the throne and imprisoned him and declared himself the king of Mathura. The king had a daughter and a son. Son Kansa and daughter Devaki. Devaki’s marriage was fixed with Vasudev and she was married to Vasudev with great pomp and show. But when Kansa was happily sending Devaki off the chariot, a voice from the sky said that only Devaki’s eighth son would kill Kansa. Kansa’s soul trembled after hearing the Akashvani and he got scared. After Akashvani, Kansa decided to kill sister Devaki. But during that time Vasudev explained to Kansa what would happen if he killed Devaki. He is not afraid of Devaki, but of Devaki’s eighth child. Vasudev advised Kansa that when we have our eighth child, we will hand him over to him. You kill him. Kansa understood what Vasudev said. But Vasudev and Devaki were imprisoned by Kansa. Kansa had killed the seven children of Devaki and Vasudev. Now the eighth child was about to be born. There were dense clouds in the sky, it was raining heavily, there was lightning and Lord Shri Krishna was about to be born. At exactly 12 o’clock in the night, all the locks of the prison broke automatically and all the soldiers guarding the prison fell into a deep sleep. At the same time, Lord Shri Vishnu appeared before Vasudev and Devaki and told them that he would be born as the eighth son from Devaki’s womb. Not only this, Lord Vishnu asked him to leave them at Nand Baba’s place in Gokul and hand over the newly born girl there to Kansa. Vasudev did as per the instructions of Lord Vishnu. The girl brought from Gokul was handed over to Kansa. As soon as Kansa raised his hand to kill the girl, the girl disappeared in the sky and a voice from the sky said that the person whom Kansa wanted to kill has reached Gokul. Kansa became more nervous after hearing this Akashvani. To kill Krishna, Kansa sent demons to Gokul one by one, but Krishna killed them all. In the end, Shri Krishna also killed Kansa.
