Most practices follow a similar pattern. Ours runs like this:

1. Choose the service that fits the question: one question, a full chart reading, match-making, Vastu or numerology.
2. Enter birth details on the booking form. Exact time matters most.
3. Pay online. The payment page shows the current fee before you confirm.
4. Get confirmation on WhatsApp with your slot, or with the expected time for a written reply.
5. The chart is prepared before the session. I read it in advance so the call is spent on your question, not on calculation.
6. The consultation happens by phone, or the written answer arrives on WhatsApp.
7. Remedies and a summary follow, with a chance to ask for clarification.

If any practice asks you to pay into a personal account outside its website, or will not tell you the fee before payment, stop there.

People search "astrologer consultation near me" for understandable reasons. Meeting someone face to face feels more trustworthy, and some families prefer a jyotishi whose reputation they can check through relatives.

A local astrologer makes sense when you also want a puja performed in person, when an elder in the family is uncomfortable with phone calls, or when you want to hand over an old handwritten kundli for checking. For a chart reading alone, distance makes no difference to accuracy. Choose the astrologer whose method you trust, then use whichever format they offer. A good reader three states away is more useful than an average one down the road.

Astrologer Consultation Fees: What Sets the Price

Astrology consultation prices in India vary widely. A few factors explain most of the difference:

• Time on your chart. A 25-minute call with preparation beforehand costs the astrologer far more time than 25 minutes.
• Scope. One question costs less than a reading of the whole chart. Match-making involves two charts. Vastu involves a property as well as a person.
• Written material. Reports, summaries and diagrams take extra work.
• Experience and demand. Established astrologers with long waiting lists charge more.

From these an astrologer can comment on whether a period favours expansion or consolidation, and whether a partnership looks supportive in both charts. A muhurat can be chosen for an opening or signing.

What it cannot judge. Your market, your margins, your cash flow, the honesty of a partner's books, or whether customers want the product. Those belong to an accountant, a lawyer and your own research. Astrology speaks to timing and tendencies. No astrologer can promise profit, and anyone who does is selling something.

The useful way to bring a business question is as a timing question with real options: "I can expand this year or next; which period does my chart support more?" "Will I be successful?" is the question I hear most often, and it is too broad to answer honestly. Success in a chart is not one placement. The 10th house describes career direction, the 5th education and creative work, the 6th service and competition, and the dasha sequence describes when each of those areas becomes active.

A consultation is most useful when the question is concrete:

• Is the coming period better for changing jobs or staying put?
• Does my chart lean towards service, business or independent work?
• Why has the last two years felt stuck, and when does that dasha change?
• Is government service or private work better supported?

Consulting From Delhi, Elsewhere in India, or Abroad

• Time zone for the slot. If you are in the US, UK, Canada or the Gulf, confirm the call time in both time zones.
• Place of birth. The chart must be cast for where you were born, not where you live now. Births outside India need the correct local time zone, including daylight saving if it applied that day.

Second, the reading itself: what the chart shows about the question, which planets and periods are involved, and roughly when things shift. Third, remedies, if any are called for, and your follow-up questions.

Keep the call focused. If you have five questions, put them in order of importance before the call starts, so the most important one is not squeezed into the last minute. It is fine to ask "what in my chart shows that?" A good astrologer can point to the placement or dasha behind any statement.

After the Consultation

Write down any dates and periods mentioned on the same day, while they are fresh. If you received a voice note or written summary, save it somewhere you will find it next year, because many readings are about periods that unfold over months.

Remedies suggested in a consultation are usually simple: a mantra, a fast, a donation on a particular day, sometimes a gemstone or Rudraksha after the chart has been checked for it. Start them calmly. If something is unclear, ask for clarification rather than guessing. Remedies support effort and patience; they do not replace either.

How to Tell Whether It Was a Good Consultation

A few signs separate a careful consultation from a quick one:

• The astrologer checked your birth details before starting.
• The answer addressed your question, not a generic reading of your Sun sign.
• Statements were tied to specific placements or periods, and you could ask why.
• Uncertainty was admitted where it existed.
• Remedies, if any, were proportionate, with no pressure to buy something expensive that day.
• Health, legal and money questions were pointed towards the right professional as well.

Be wary of the opposite: a frightening dosha in the first minute, guarantees of marriage or wealth, or a different costly remedy every time you ask a new question.

What No Consultation Can Do

No astrologer, online or in person, can guarantee an outcome: not a job, a marriage, a child, a profit or a cure. A chart shows tendencies and timing. It does not decide for you.

For anything medical, including depression, anxiety, fertility problems or chest pain, see a doctor first. Astrology and remedies can sit alongside treatment for people who find them meaningful, never in place of it. The same applies to legal disputes and investment decisions: a lawyer and a financial adviser come first.

And if a reading leaves you more frightened than when you started, that is a sign to pause, not to spend more.
